Raku is a mysterious, magical process. You will not get any two pieces to look the same. They can look similar, but not exactly the same. That is the magic, as well as the mystery. You keep searching to find a way to have consistency with the outcome.
I am continually hunting down the best glazes for me and the way I fire. I have learned that two potters can use the same glazes and have totally different results. This makes every rakuist' work unique to them.
